The Ukraine war is not going well for Russia.
Russia's defence ministry said 1,351 Russian soldiers had been killed 3,825 wounded, the Interfax news agency reported. Ukraine says 15,000 Russian soldiers have died.
Volodymyr Borysenko, mayor of Boryspol, an eastern suburb where Kyiv's main airport is located, said 20,000 civilians had evacuated the area, answering a call to clear out so Ukrainian troops could counter-attack. Ukrainian forces recaptured a nearby village the previous day and would have pushed on but halted to avoid putting civilians in danger, he said.
On the other main front outside Kyiv, to the capital's northwest, Ukrainian forces have been trying to encircle Russian troops in the suburbs of Irpin, Bucha and Hostomel, reduced to ruins by heavy fighting.
In Bucha, 25 km (15 miles) northwest of Kyiv, a small group of Ukrainian troops armed with anti-tank missiles was digging foxholes. A Ukrainian soldier who identified himself only as Andriy told Reuters he had enlisted as soon as the invasion began.
"I told my wife to grab the children and to hide in the basement, and I went to the drafting station and joined my unit straight away," he said.
The United Nations said it had confirmed 1,081 civilian deaths and 1,707 injuries in Ukraine since the invasion, adding that the real toll was likely higher.
The southeastern port of Mariupol, a city of 400,000 before the war, has been among the worst hit by the Russian bombardment. Tens of thousands of people are still believed to be trapped with little access to food, power or heat, while the city around them has been reduced to ruins.
This is not forget that every Russian soldier lost costs Vladamir Putin over 10 million UK pounds.
So the loss of army personnel has cast 150 billion. The war itself is costing Russia 20 billion a day. So the war was cast half a trillion.
And Russia's extended supply lines, that a Ukrainian armed vehicles, take out all their supply drugs! Russia cannot pillage for food and drink. They could not pillage military supplies!
And there is no way Russia can defend the 100s of kilometres of open and highway. The war was meant to be a over in three days! People with a permanent seat on the UN Security council, are not allowed to annexe parts of surrounding countries.
So acquiring the Crimea would framework UN action: the white helmets should already have been sent in! How strange that they have not been.
And Poland is are applying for EU membership, so the EU army will be getting increasingly interested in the Ukraine action.
The Russians are finding that tanks today are made so vulnerable. A defender with an anti tank weapon, can take out a five million tank! The manoverable armored vehicles, can easily take out the tanks.
Military drones can drop of amounts on tanks, in murdering assembly areas. To have eyes of an mble to surface to air missiles! Each downds church costing 20 million. Or rasher has lost 170.
The Ukrainian a war has cost rasher massively. Proteins folly! And the armed services are very upset with Putin. And they take retribution 50 caliber style.
