We take the water ancer high pressure steam injection into the oil containing rocks.  Which contains enough hydrocarbons, to causing intermittent earthquakes!  As the carbon residue ignites, producing a massive explosion!

We apply 1 W of vacuum to the dirty water, and suck out pure fresh water!  We circle the hydrocarbons back into the frecking dirty steam, I can actually extract the hydrocarbons as fuels!

For the water has been transformed into pure fresh water!  Ready to be heated and ejected a steam into the oil containing shales.

So we have cleaned up the frecking dirty water!  And circulate the pure water back our steam.  Even increasing the hydrocarbons we extract from the dirty fracking steam.

And of course eliminate the earthquakes!

Injecting higher pressure water into shell formations, does liberated oil.  But does are also are the 37 times the volume of contaminated water.

Which ooil company is have started injecting the into deep rock formations.  They potentially disastrous results!  Causing Earth quakes.

The answer is my old friend of vacuum desalination.  We apply one metre of vacuum to brown water, and suck out pure water.  Leaving behind a thick sludge, we need to use time reprocessing techniques to deal with.

To reject back down into the shale formation.  And now we do not interact the contaminated water, so we get no earthquakes.

We removing ooil bound up in the sales.  Which are a major energy reserve globally.  But now we avoid the earthquake problem.

There is no temptation to inject large volumes of brown water into the deep earth.  The immune to potential contamination forms the local lakes and Rivers.  It is not really hard science!
