Every nuclear power plant knees operating consent.  Which is strictly time limited.  As engineers over design nothing.  A nuclear power plants are designed to last 25 years, then be decommissioned.

The Fukushima incident in Japan demonstrates what happens if you ran a nuclear power plant beyond its design life: it fills in a catastrophic fashion!

Since Fukushima in 2010 every uranium nuclear power plant has needed annual operating insurance of 100 billion.  There being no insurance available above one billion, they make do a criminally insufficient 50 million.

The legal fine for missing insurance is the cumulative some of although missing insurance.  100 billion a year since 2010.  EDF in the UK is faced as nuclear plants exceeding the design life.

Every out of use the nuclear plant should be shut down and scrapped.  EDF has no magical power to some how extend the life of a shut down nuclear power plant.

Sizewell B massively under insured

Nuclear lacked valid insurance since 1986

Sizewell B began operating 1984.  Cleared by the standard nuclear insurance cover of just 50 billion.  The number of deaths caused by Windscale made this insurance cover inadequate.

Their study concluded that because the actual amount of radiation released in the fire could be double the previous estimates, and that the radioactive plume actually travelled further east, there were likely to be 100 to 240 cancer fatalities in the long term as a result of the fire.

The legal fire at for a death is set at 10 million.  So Windscale cost the UK government at least a billion!  Maybe 2.4 billion.  That should have been the insurance set for every nuclear power station in the world.  So 2.4 billion annually!

The legally required insurance for all for 122 nuclear plants in the world.  So in total around 10 trillion.  There is no insurance available above one billion!  So every nuclear power plant in the world has been running criminally under insured since Winscale.

And now they are talking about Sizewell C.  Hoping to repeat the planning consent get around.  Which was never legal!  Sizewell B never had planning consent.  The missing insurance as up to 3.6 trillion.

The cost of a nuclear incident being transferred to UK government - without their consent or knowledge.  We are now aware of the planning consent problem.  Sizewell will never invest their hundreds of millions into the planning consent meetings, which will automatically reject a new nuclear plant.

As the first issue is valid insurance.  And there is no source of the hundred billion of insurance nuclear power requires.  So on day one before any body they said anything, the planning consent will be rejected.
