When we burn the carbon fuel in the air, we do oxidise the carbon. That takes in energy! The energy release comes from the steam plasma set up in the combustion products.

Nuclear power is so not carbon zero! But nuclear power pays academics to Witter on about carbon dioxide. Even after all the world has gone to clean, safe, non toxic carbon neutral steam plasmas. Turning regular water into had nearly unlimited free heat!
To drive a car or lorry we need a 25x1cm steam plasma are four atmospheres again. This a constant 600 kW of carbon neutral heat. A thermoelectric generator will turn into 75 kW of carbon neutral power.
We use far linked electronics, to drive a car off speed linked AC current. And the family hatchback only needs 8 kW of electrical power. A small helicopter only 45 kW of power. A sports car 20 kW. And we are generating 75 kW.
Parked up as home, this will provide the carbon neutral electricity for 90 houses. Of regular water! We do not consume electricity from the grid. We do not even need mains gas! They are driven by a free nuclear fusion.
