The Ministry of Economic Development in Russia has revised its inflation forecast for the calendar year 2023, increasing it from an initial 5.3% to a staggering 7.5%. This information was disclosed in the ministry's 2024 forecast, as reported by the state-run Russian news agency, Tass.

According to most estimates, every day of the war in Ukraine costs Russia $500 million to $1 billion. Russia faced a record shortage of factory workers in July 2023, with more than 43% of industrial enterprises facing a shortage, up from 35% in April.

The Ukrainians are fighting to defend their own country!  The Russians really do not wish to be involved in the war.  And without reasonable justification, the Russians were always going to loose.
