Elon Musk expressed disquiet about the UK he descending into civil war. But the English don't really like violence.
Though there are always right wing groups looking for any excuse for a punch up and riot. The side the police were out in force. At 100 planned demonstrations/riots. Buyouts just happen, they are not planned.
The Southport killing of the three young girls was the act of a psychopath who requires incarceration in a mental health unit.
So all the police forces paid overtime, and packed out the streets with police officers in high visibility jackets: I presume, I certainly didn't go out and look!
And the night passed quietly. I think we have learned yet again the dangers of social media with being a civil disorder.
But even the far right groups, have now retreated to their Hitler bunkers and are causing no problem. In the words of Ford Prefect 'normality is restored'.
