Nursing strike costs the Royal College of Nursing 0.5 billion

striking nurses no longer nurses

Here in the UK nurses illegally went on strike recently: in direct contravention of their nightingale pledge.  After their strike in 1988, they took a pledge never to strike for financial reasons ever again!

In the nursing strike, I was in A&E following a car accident.  And 30% brain damage.  How much of the damage I encounter was due to my defective nursing care?  We may never know.

The daily mail published that the statistical death rate within the NHS, increased by 500 patients during the two day it nursing strike.  So a direct result of a nurse not being there, 500 people died needlessly.

10,000,000 for each death.  That is 0.5 billion UK pounds!  Massively in excess of the financial worth of the RCN.

In 2021, the value of the combined portfolio was £41.1m (2020: £38.6m).

The RCN wealth is less and 0.1% other financial cost of a nursing strike.  And each nurse who took industrial action, are automatically struck off.

They cannot call another strike!  As they are financially insolvent.  They are totally and utterly bankrupt.  Having contributed to 500 patients needlessly dying.

Every nurse who carries insurance with the RCN, now totally excluded from medical activity.  Even those who did not strike, have also insurance cover.  Medical activity illegal!
