Present estimates that the Big Bang Cindy pushed back by a billion years every year!  And presently accepted number is 13.8 billion years.  But the James Webb can do it also 13.7 billion years ago.

Which should be within the dark region, before the first stars lit up.  We were expecting to C a few super massive very radiant stars.  When there is only a hydrogen, helium and othe are in existence.

We are actually seeing a very familiar star backdrop!  The stars forming, signing and then nova.  This starts about the same stallar mass as our sun.

And threw a gravitational lens created by a star, now says identified a star 38.8 billion years away.  This is where the gravitational field of a star can act like a task years.  So at 28 billion years before the universe existed!

Gravitational lenses are us to see a very distant objects.  They do not allow us to see objects before only existed.  We know the do sir is the cause of the redshift on the star in the lens.

Apparently shunning 20 billion years before the that having to make radiation!  Let alone form a radiant star.

This would appear to push back the big bang to further back and 38.8 billion years ago.
